A Survey of comparative and performance of educational groups managers in the view point of (Technical, Humanity, Perceptional) Shiraz azad university in the year 1390-91

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate and compare the department heads’ performance in Shiraz IAU with regard to three management skills (technical, humanity, and perceptual). It was a descriptive, casual- comparative and survey research.
The statistical society of this research includes420 part-time and full-time professors in Shiraz IAU. Among them, 225 individuals were selected through stratified sampling and the required data were collected for the analysis of the department heads’ performance on triple management skill. A self-made Questionnaire named the three management skills questionnaire (technical, humanity and perceptual) which had been administered in 1390, was used for data collection. Face validity was emphasized and chronbach’s alpha was used. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for data analysis. SPSS software was used for the descriptive statistics including frequency, frequency percentage, mean, and standard deviation and also inferential statistics including ANOVA and post hoc Tukey test. The results revealed that there is a significant difference between department heads’ performance in Shiraz IAU with regard to the three management skills (technical, humanity and perceptual). Generally, the highest and lowest technical skill was related to the agriculture faculty and humanities faculty respectively, the highest and lowest humanity skill was related to the humanities faculty and technical-engineering faculty respectively, and finally, the highest and lowest perceptual skill was related to the basic sciences faculty and agriculture faculty respectively.
