The effectiveness of intelligence program based on Queen's project and concept map strategy in math lesson on moral reasoning and demotivation due to Corona era

Abstract

Introduction: The aim of the present research was to compare the effectiveness of intelligence program training based on the Queen project and concept map strategy training in math lessons on moral reasoning and demotivation caused by the Corona era in 9th grade high school girls in Shiraz.

research methodology: The research method is quasi-experimental, with two experimental groups and one control group. The statistical population was made up of 9th grade high school girls in Shiraz, and in order to conduct the research, a group of 45 people were selected by available sampling method, and they were randomly examined in three groups of 15 people, experiment 1, experiment 2, and the control group. The measurement tools in this research were 2 moral reasoning questionnaires of Maanipour (2013) and Hermans (1977) motivation for progress, whose content and form validity have been confirmed, and the reliability of the questionnaire for motivation for progress and moral reasoning using Cronbach's alpha coefficient The order of 0.88 and 0.92 has been obtained. Data analysis was done using descriptive and inferential statistics, which at the level of descriptive statistics; frequency, mean and standard deviation, and at the level of inferential statistics, analysis of covariance test was used.

Findings: The results of the Mankova test show that the effect of the intelligence program based on the Queen's project on increasing moral reasoning is more than the effect of the concept map strategy teaching method (31.8 percent effect versus 23.4 percent) and the effect of the concept map strategy teaching method on The reduction of demotivation has been more than the effect of the intelligence program method based on the Queen project (39.1 percent of the effect against 19.8 percent).

Conclusion: The result showed that the above approaches can be used to reduce demotivation and increase moral reasoning in schools.
