Abstract

The present study was conducted with the aim of the role of social capital and organizational learning ability in knowledge creation in order to provide an appropriate model. This research was applied based on purpose and methodically. The research method in the qualitative part was based on the data theory of the foundation and in the quantitative part was descriptive-correlation. The statistical population of the present study in the qualitative part included professors and university experts in Kermanshah province who were selected and interviewed by purposive sampling method and in the quantitative part of the statistical population included 4076 employees of universities and institutions There were higher education institutions in Kermanshah province that 343 people were selected as a sample by random sampling method. Findings showed 4 factors, structural indicators (policy-making, reform of laws and regulations, process reform, structure design, rule of law, university independence, organizational support and the university's relationship with the environment); Management characteristics (ability of managers, participatory management, creating a healthy work environment, creating equal opportunities, meritocracy, avoiding pretense and rewards and job promotion); Group indicators (social participation, teamwork, constructive interaction of members with each other, improving the quality of education, knowledge creation, academic organizations and associations and participation in decision-making) and individual indicators (responsibility, motivation, manpower expertise, trust and Positive personality traits affect social capital in universities and higher education institutions. The results of the quantitative section showed that social capital has an effect on knowledge creation (β = 0.146 t = 3.017) and organizational learning ability (β = 0.706 and t = 22.572) and organizational learning ability in the relationship between Social capital plays a mediating role with knowledge creation. According to these findings, it can be said that if universities address the main factors of social capital and strengthen it among employees, we can expect the ability of organizational learning and knowledge creation in universities to grow significantly.
