Examination of the role of toxic leadership style on organizational trauma by considering the role of mediator of organizational silence

Abstract

The purpose of this research is examination the role of toxic leadership style on organizational trauma by considering the role of mediator of organizational silence. The present research is applied in terms of purpose, and in terms of collecting data is a descriptive research type and is a branch of survey research. The statistical population of the research was 240 numbers of employees of Azad University and payamnoor University of Shiraz; that147 numbers as statistical sample have selected by using simple random sampling method. Data have collected by using standard questionnaires; Structural equation modeling and Lisrell statistical software have used to analyze them. The conceptual model of research has a favorable fit. The results of the research show that toxic leadership style has a positive and significant relationship with organizational silence and organizational trauma. research Findings indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between organizational silence and organizational trauma. Also, the results of the data review show that toxic leaders can lead to organizational trauma through creating a climate of organizational silence.
