An Assessment of the Satisfaction of Faculty Members ofMarvdasht Islamic Azad University (IAU)

Abstract

The goal of this study was to assess the satisfaction of the faculty members of Marvdasht Islamic Azad University through a survey. This study utilized a newly developed questionnaire whose validity and reliability were already established. The sampling frame of the study included all faculty members of the Marvdasht IAU. A use was made of random stratified sampling strategy to draw a sample taking into consideration of their academic status. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics along with Kolmogorof-Smirnov statistics. The results indicated that faculty members were satisfied with their jobs. In addition, most of the faculty expressed moderate satisfaction with their salary and colleagues’ knowledge. Finally, more than two thirds of the sample held that programming and management is very important in their professional affairs.
