Work engagement is defined as a positive and pleasant state of mind that associated with the work. The purpose of this study was to predict teachers work engagement by HEXACO'spersonality dimensions. Research method was descriptive (correlation and ex post facto) and statistical population included all men and women high school teachers in Ardabil province in the 2011-2012 school year. The sample included 280 teachers (142 females and 138 males) that were selected through multistage cluster sampling method.The data collected by HEXACO'sPersonality Dimensions questionnaire (60 items) and the Utrecht Work Engagement questionnaire (17 items). Obtained data were analyzed using causal modeling in regression models and independent t test. Results showed that work engagement prediction model by teachers personality traits are significant. Openness, conscientiousness, agreeableness, extraversion and humility-honesty had direct influence on the work engagement. Yet, effect of emotionality on work engagement was not significant. It was also turned out the women had more work engagement, compared with men.
