The Relationship between Social Intelligence with Entrepreneurship Skills and Creativity among Technical High School Students in Shiraz

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between social intelligence with entrepreneurship skills and creativity based on descriptive - correlation method. The population in this study,  amounting to 240, included Shiraz technical high school students, altogether. These students, were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling methods as samples of the study. To collect information questionnaires: Tromoso social intelligence(2001), Elaine Biech entrepreneurship skills(2007) and creativity questionnaire of Abdi. Furthermore, the data analysis of descriptive statistics (mean and SD) and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation and regression) were carried out. The Reliability of the instrument through the application of cronbach alpha coefficient was calculated as  .72 , .85 and .89 respectively.
The results showed that social intelligence and its components had positive significant relationship with entrepreneurship skills and creativity. The analysis of regression indicated that social intelligence and its components had a significant predictive power for students entrepreneurship skills and creativity. Among the components of social intelligence, social awareness components could predict creativity. the components of information processing and social skills respectively were the strongest predictors for entrepreneurship skills.
