The effect of social capital on the quality of work life of faculty members with moderating of social popularity (case study: Lorestan University)

Abstract

This study aims to identify the relationship between social capital and quality of work life with moderating of social popularity in faculty members of Lorestan University. The study population included all faculty members of Lorestan University that their number was over 254. In order to select the sample, 148 individuals through krejcie and Morgan table, using stratified sampling method was selected. To collect the data, the three forms of social capital questionnaire, social popularity and quality of work life that the validity and reliability were acceptable, were used. In order to analyze the basic hypothesis of the research, structural equation model using SPSS and LISREL, were analyzed. The results show that social capital between faculty members and their quality of work life is a positive relationship; this relationship has a moderator variable as social popularity. In other words, social popularity increasing the work life quality of faculty members and developed relationship between social capital and quality of their work life of faculty members as a moderator.
