Introduction: School principals must have the ability to make their decisions in an ethical way to solve problems for the education of students and teachers. The moral literacy of managers in this field can play an important role in the ability of managers. This research has been done with the aim of identifying the components of improving the moral literacy of education school principals in Fars province.

research methodology: This study, in terms of its purpose, is an applied research that was conducted with a qualitative approach and the Grounded Theory method and with the Strauss-Corbin approach. The total number of the statistical population was 15 including 12 men and 3 women, 80% of the statistical population were men and 20% were women.

Findings: The causal conditions were ethical management, individual skills, and group skills. The background conditions included the promotion of moral culture, inherent ethics and communication. The intervening conditions included education and knowledge, and moral empowerment, communication training, improving the work environment and empowering managers were the strategies of this research. The consequences were the improvement of the quality of school performance, the improvement of school service provision, the improvement of managerial ability and the use of the potential capacities of managers.

Conclusion: The promotion of moral literacy in school principals generally depends on the qualifications and inherent characteristics of principals and their training. Selection systems in education should pay attention to the moral competence of school managers, and education in its cultural setting should set programs in line with improving the moral literacy of school managers.
