A Systematic review and analysis of scientific mapping of research in smart education and its conceptual relationship with educational leadership

Abstract

Introduction: The current research aims to analyze the state of scientific studies and research in the field of intelligent education and leadership and examine the relationship between the concepts of these two fields.

research methodology: Scientometrics is an important research area in information science and librarianship that is widely used. This research was done using scientometric techniques including citation analysis, both writing and vocabulary. The statistical population of the research is all the researches related to intelligent education and educational leadership that have been published in the international scientific databases in the English language during the years 2000 to 2024. The output of the data before entering into the scientometric analysis, first in a systematic review method and using a specific contract; It was refined many times. Finally, scientometric analysis was performed using VosViewer software on the RIS output obtained from Zotero software.

Findings: In the present study, research articles related to intelligent education and leadership were systematically collected, refined, described, analyzed and summarized. The results of these surveys showed that the research trend in these two fields is increasing and most of the effective research in today's knowledge, especially smart education, has been done since 2018.

Then, citation analysis, both authorship and vocabulary, was used on the statistical community of researches related to smart education and educational leadership. The results of the coincidence of keywords showed that the degree of connection between the concepts of educational leadership and the concepts related to smart education is homogeneous and uniform. The clustering resulting from connecting the data in these two areas includes 6 clusters.
